ACADEMY COMPETITIVE PROGRAM (MEN & WOMEN)
Academy Competitive Training Program (U13-U18)
At the Florida Lions Development Academy we strive to provide the best platform for our players to grow and develop on and off the field, with the intention to provide opportunities for our athletes to further their careers.
Our current program is strictly designed to raise the level of our athletes in training.
Training will consist of proper seasonal periodization, including technical, tactical, and physical training.
Sessions are designed for players to improve and help players perform at a higher level in their club teams.
Example of session set up:
Warm up: Which includes coordination, proprioceptive training, Speed and Agility components.
Technical Phase: We will work on developing the technical abilities of the players pushing them to a higher level of performance at a higher speed as we progress throughout the season.
Small Sided games and individual tactics phase: If applicable pending on numbers, we will work on small sided games and individual tactics to increase performance capabilities.
Game phase: If applicable pending on numbers, we will end sessions with a game like activity.
Our Mission is to offer a program to maximize our players’ capacities while teaching them good sportsmanship and respect for their coaches, referees, spectators, opponents and the game.

PRACTICE AND LOCATION

All practices are held at Minneola Athletic Complex

Practice 2 times a week Wednesday and Friday (6:00-7:30pm)

Practice jersey, black shorts, and white socks must be worn to every practice

Soccer ball, cleats, and shin guards required
REGISTRATION FEE

$50 Per Month

Payment in full after first session available.

Fall: August - December
Spring: January - May
UNIFORMS
All uniforms will be ordered through our club. After registration, you will be added to a roster on ANSA Platform, and you will then receive an email with instructions on how to order your entire uniform kit + backpack. The total cost for the uniform is roughly $250.
All jersey numbers will be selected by the Club Staff. Uniform Kits are used on a 2-year cycle.
LEAGUES & TOURNAMENTS
Our Academy players will not enter a League and will focus on tournaments (if applicable) and preparation for their on teams. Our academy players may travel around Florida or to other states for College Showcases, Tournaments, and games against other competitive teams from different soccer clubs and potential tryouts for colleges or semi pro/pro teams (if applicable).
